Ultrasound

So today was the big day! And to Seths disappointment we are expecting another Girl! We both were taken by surprise. I really thought that it would be a boy this time. But, The Big Man upstairs had something else in mind. I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed at the news at first. But, after making a few phone calls to family and friends, I feel much better and I am excited for our new little girl! I think I just had convinced myself that it was a boy, so I just didn't know what to think when the ultrasound tech started to type the word GIRL on the screen. I wanted so badly for Seth to have a boy this time so he could be excited for the baby to come. Better luck next time, right? I know he will be so excited as soon as he sees her, just like he was when he saw Madi the first time. The ultrasound went great and she looks healthy! She was very co-operative and had her back facing up when we started the ultrasound and the tech was able to get a clear look at her brain and spine. Then she flipped over for us so that we could look at her limbs and her face. She already is a very good girl! I am so grateful for Madi, when I went to pick her up from my friends house after the ultrasound I was feeling pretty bummed, I told Madi that we were going to have a girl baby and she jumped up and down and said "yeah, girl baby!" I know that she has no idea what all of that really means but I was so glad that she was excited about it, and it helped me to smile. I think she will be grateful for a sister. Since I don't have any sisters, it will be fun for me to watch them together.

Congrats! I know how you feel about getting the same sex baby two times is a row. I was all excited hoping for a girl when I was pregnant with Cruiz. Then I was pretty bummed about another boy. Of course I love it now that he is here, but hopefully I'll get a girl sometime. I just keep telling myself as long as I know I'll get a girl sometime, I'll be very happy.
Things will be good though. Congrats!

Well I'm super excited you're having a girl!!! They'll be so close in age and it'll be so fun if we move down there to have them be BFF's! :) And I'm sure Seth will love her so much he'll be begging to have another baby when she's older. Ok, well maybe not begging...But I don't think you should give up on your boy! Congrats again!!!

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! Ryanna is already telling me that our next baby is going to be a girl. Geez, can we enjoy this baby for at least a couple weeks before we plan another one?
